Trump signs executive order targeting social media companies

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump signed an executive order targeting social media companies on Thursday, days after Twitter called two of his tweets “potentially misleading.”

“A small handful of social media monopolies controls a vast portion of all public and private communications in the United States,”

Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s ‘Rain on Me’ Is Whatever You Need It to Be Right Now

Last night online I tried to think of a bad song about rain, and I couldn’t come up with one, and no one else who tried to come up with one in the Twitter thread could do it either. That’s because rain is a rich topic for songwriters. You can roll it out as melodramatic mise-en-scène during a dark story song (Garth Brooks’s “The Thunder Rolls,” Brooke Benton’s “Rainy Night in Georgia”) or you can employ it as a heavy-handed metaphor for depression (The Temptations’ “I Wish It Would Rain,” the Carpenters’ “Rainy Days and Mondays”),

Jersey Shore and many other U.S. beaches reopen for a Memorial Day like no other

Restrictions will be in place to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

In his song “Jersey Girl,” Tom Waits famously sang, “Down on the shore everything’s all right/ You with your baby on a Saturday night.”

Hidden in the HEROES Act, A New Multiemployer Pension Plan Bailout

The HEROES Act, it turns out, is more than another round of “stimulus” checks, or the extension of supplemental unemployment benefits, or COBRA subsidies, or any of the other components which have garnered so much attention thus far. Tucked away in the bill is Division D, Title I, the Emergency Pension Plan Relief Act of 2020, which provides benefits for single- and multi-employer pension plans.

The provisions for single-employer plans are fairly standard,

‘Scoob!’ isn’t much fun, and neither are those meddling kids

(CNN)First, a confession: There are those of us who have never really been fans of Scooby-Doo, or for that matter, those meddling kids. Still, the animated dog and his crime-solving crew have been around for 50 years, which explains why there’s a movie called “Scoob!,” one so inconsequential and flat it doesn’t lose much by premiering on a TV screen.

“Scoob!” had been destined for theaters before coronavirus intervened. As studios try to make the best of a bad situation and feed the appetite for new content,
