Cokie Roberts was the embodiment of our better angels — whether it was her work for Save the Children or the millions of kindnesses large and small that she dispensed daily, without ever thinking that what she was doing was unusual or remarkable.

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers dropped to 0-2 after their fourth-quarter rally fell short in Sunday’s home opener against the Seattle Seahawks.

But potentially even more concerning than the team’s 28-26 loss were the early departures of two key offensive starters.

Ben Roethlisberger exited late in the second quarter with an elbow injury to his throwing arm, and running back James Conner left in the fourth quarter with a knee injury.

The Chicago Bears did something very few teams have accomplished since 2000 — defeating the Broncos in Denver in the first two weeks of September during a wild 16-14 victory. As my colleague R.J. Clever Caper Comedy ‘Hustlers’ Makes It Rain

It is a truth universally acknowledged that the movie hustler must always take the young upstart under their wing. In Hustlers, that moment comes when Jennifer Lopez, lounging on a New York roof in an elaborate white G-string, spreads her luscious fur coat and wraps Constance Wu’s fresh-faced stripper inside with her. It’s a glittery gesture of sisterhood, bestowed by the biggest star in the world, working a profession long derided by larger society as immoral.
